A little goes a long way. Just a few threads are enough to transform rice dishes, broths, desserts, and teas. It’s equally valued in wellness infusions and craft skincare where both color and aroma matter.
Great for: Paella, biryani, risotto, saffron tea, desserts, syrups, infused oils
Flavor: Sweet, floral, subtly earthy
Form: Whole saffron threads
Origin: Kashmir, India
Yield:
• About 0.02–0.03g per serving
• 10g yields roughly 300–500 servings, depending on use
Storage: Saffron is best stored in a cool, dark place, where no source of light, artificial or natural can reach. Do not store saffron in a refrigerator as genuine saffron tends to absorb moisture easily once it is exposed to room temperature. Over time, the flavor will lessen, saffron does not “expire” but is best when used within 1-2 years.
Usage Tip:
Gently steep a few threads in warm water or milk for 10–15 minutes before adding to your recipe to fully release color and aroma.
Genuine top-grade “Mogra” Saffron from Kashmir India is the very best in the world, and is almost impossible to find with other varieties making up over 90% of the market.
Saffron is the only spice for which the price has not declined since the Middle Ages, when a pound of Saffron could be exchanged for an Arabian horse. Why? One flower gives only three stigmas, and to get a kilogram of the spice, up to 200,000 flowers must be harvested.
For over 2500 years, Kashmir has been the producer of the best variety of Saffron. Kashmir Saffron commands a premium in the spice market over Spanish and Iranian varieties due to its high quality and unmatched flavor.

High quality, long threads of gorgeous saffron. Bought some for myself, and some for my East Indian brother who was thrilled with it, and can’t wait to use it in his East Indian recipes.
If you’ve never had saffron, this is a must have! It’s incredibly fragrant and potent. You only need a tiny bit!
