Hand Picked Whole Cloves – Whole Sri Lankan cloves are the sweet, spicy, and aromatic unopened flower bud from a syzygium aromaticum tree – a member of the evergreen family that is native to Indonesian rainforests. These cloves are selectively hand-picked and dried to preserve flavor.

Sri Lankans add cloves to rice as a flavoring agent, adding a couple of sticks to the cooking water. For curries, cloves are roasted in ghee. Clove oil is a natural antibiotic.
